AKA Set To Be Buried On Friday (See Details)

The funeral for the deceased member of their family will take place on February 17, 2023, according to the family of the South African musician AKA.

A few days earlier, it was revealed that AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, had been shot in the head in Durban in front of a restaurant by an unidentified assailant.

AKA reportedly had a shooting an hour after posting a video of himself on social media. AKA was reportedly scheduled to play at his birthday celebration on Friday.

Outside a restaurant on Florida Road, he was approached by unidentified shooters, who shot him in the head in what looks to be a hit.

Forbes was shot while standing on the pavement when gunshots erupted, according to a first responder at the site who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

“I can confirm that two persons, including a well-known rapper, were killed. The victims’ names won’t be made public by the police until a thorough investigation is conducted,” he added.
