Feel the warmth with Baytrees’ new single ‘Sunshine’: A life-affirming musical journey
London-based band Baytrees has just released their latest single ‘Sunshine’, a soulful and life-affirming track that celebrates the warmth and joy of the sun.
The song is a perfect blend of hip-hop beats, funk-rock riffs, and catchy pop hooks that transport the listener to sunny places.
According to lead singer and songwriter Mensah Hart, the inspiration for the song came from a gloomy and rainy day when he longed to be in his second home, Jamaica, or in the sunshine of Barcelona or Ibiza.
Hart wanted to create a musical experience that could take him and the listeners on a journey to somewhere warm and happy, and the result is a joyful track that encourages living life to the fullest and appreciating each day.
Baytrees was formed in 2018 and consists of brothers Mensah and Kwame Hart on lead vocals, keyboards, guitar, and bass guitar respectively, along with Marcus Harris on drums and vocals, and Cujoe Ryan on guitar and keys.
The band members have supported renowned acts such as The Rolling Stones, Kano, and The Sex Pistols, and have worked with legendary Italian artist Gianna Nannini on her album ‘La Differenza’.
‘Sunshine’ has already received positive reviews from music critics and listeners alike, with many praising its upbeat and infectious sound.
The guitars and synth elements in the song are inspired by Earth Wind and Fire, Michael Jackson, Talking Heads, Gap Band, J Hus, Metronomy, and Daft Punk, resulting in a fresh and unique sound that draws from a diverse range of musical influences.
Baytrees’ new single ‘Sunshine’ is the perfect musical antidote to a gloomy day and a reminder to appreciate the warmth and joy of the sun.
The band will be releasing more music in 2023 and will also be playing a live date in London to celebrate the launch of ‘Sunshine’ at Bread and Roses, Clapham on March 24.
Fans of Baytrees can look forward to more upbeat and soulful music from the talented band in the coming months.
