Kidi – The Golden Album Review.

Well, the album is not genre specific. It’s hotchpotch of genres, ranging from Afrobeat, R&B, Reggae and Dancehall songs. The vibe simply makes you dive deep into the vocals, instrumental, and lyrics. It’s a graceful and elegant body of work that gets me deep into my imagination and is my cup of tea.

Some of the songs are sexually seductive. Like “Send Me Nudes”, “Touch It” which is one of the viral songs on Tiktok, and IG mostly since it’s release. I do not appreciate that playing on radio without censorship on words like “pretty girls come whine pon di cocky” etc. However if I think with a neutral mind then the song is actually good. I mean for 18yrs and above, the song is not much of a big deal.

In a nutshell, I can say that this opus is a pop album, one designed for the masses, hipsters and millennial, especially. Daddy Issues, Cyclone, Bad Things for the time being as re my favourites, yet, I’m still exploring.
