ASEM! NDC to identify & honour MPs who voted against ministerial nominees
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will publicly identify and commend MPs who voted against the six ministerial nominees of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The party condemned the actions of the renegade MPs who voted for the nominees, describing it as a “massive stab in the back of the good people of Ghana.”
In a statement issued by the General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC said the action of these MPs betrayed the party’s express will and constituted a departure from the principles of the party.
The party vowed to reward members who stayed true to the party’s principles and did not vote for the nominees.
“We will stop at nothing to identify them and publicly laud them in due course. Their loyalty and patriotism will not be forgotten,” the statement read.
The NDC emphasized that the decision of the MPs who voted for the nominees was driven by parochial interests rather than the good of the party and the nation.
The party reiterated its commitment to the millions of Ghanaians who are not happy with the bloated government of Akufo-Addo-Bawumia.
The statement further highlighted the economic challenges facing Ghana and criticized the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia/NPP government for its “ongoing recklessness.”
The NDC called it unpardonable for any person, especially an MP who believes in the ideals of the party, to support the government’s actions.
The NDC’s decision to commend MPs who voted against the ministerial nominees is a clear indication of the party’s determination to reward members who stay true to its principles.
It is also a signal to other members of the party that the NDC will not tolerate actions that betray the party’s will.
In conclusion, the NDC has taken a bold step to identify and commend MPs who voted against the six ministerial nominees of President Akufo-Addo.
The move demonstrates the party’s commitment to its principles and its determination to reward loyalty and patriotism.
It also sends a strong message to other members of the party that actions that betray the party’s will and principles will not be tolerated.
