Comic actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has revealed that he turned down an offer from Asante Kotoko, the reigning Ghanaian champions.
The actor, who joined Division One side New Edubiase United on a two-year deal in 2021, has only made four appearances for the team.
In a recent interview, Lil Win disclosed that he had received offers from several clubs in Ghana, including Asante Kotoko, but had declined them all.
Instead, he said he was focused on securing a deal in Europe, where he hoped to ply his trade.
“I have an offer from Europe, and my manager and I are working towards that,” he said. “There is too much hate in the local scene, and I want to explore opportunities elsewhere.”
Lil Win’s decision to reject Asante Kotoko’s offer is sure to disappoint fans of the team, who had hoped that the actor’s presence could help boost the team’s fortunes.
However, the comic actor seems determined to pursue his dream of playing in Europe, and is willing to wait for the right opportunity to come along.
Despite his limited playing time for New Edubiase United, Lil Win remains optimistic about his future in football. He attributed his recent absence from games to injuries he had picked up, as well as his focus on securing a new deal abroad.
It remains to be seen where Lil Win will end up next, but his rejection of Asante Kotoko’s offer suggests that he is not afraid to take risks and pursue his dreams.
Fans of the actor and football enthusiasts alike will be watching with interest to see where his career takes him next.
